The road has been cleared for ten teams to compete in the Indian Premier League in 2022. The names of Ahmedabad and Lucknow were chosen during the bidding process for two new teams in Dubai on Monday. The BCCI has made over 12000 crores from these two teams, which is far more than planned.
Sanjeev Goenka Group has made an offer for Lucknow worth Rs 7000 crore, even before he has purchased the Rising Pune Giants in the IPL. While the CVC Group, a foreign corporation, has made a proposal for Ahmedabad worth approximately Rs 5600 crore.
