The film’s director, Scott Bogart, explained that it is about a group of individuals who lived a long time ago in a fairytale. “Spinning Gold is about a group of people who once at a time lived a fairytale and fulfilled their dreams, all set to some of the best songs ever printed on vinyl,” he explained. It has been a delight of mine to bring these dreamers and artists to life.”

Meanwhile, the rapper has been cast in a new Casablanca Records biopic as Parliament head George Clinton. Spinning Gold is presently under development, according to Deadline. It’s a film about Neil Bogart, the head of Casablanca Records. The film will follow the emergence of Bogart’s Buddah and Casablanca record labels in the 1960s and 1970s.
