Political consultant and social worker Ms. Sapan Kay Cee’ Says that Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is Spreading Christianity in his State officially .AP has always been a Hindu majority state, but since the YSR government in 2004, we have seen a drastic rise in the Christian population. YSR never hesitated to show his support to the Christian missionary and contributed huge land and other aid to the pastors. He also opened a separate financial corporation named Andhra Pradesh state Christian minority finance Corporation for the Christian minorities with government funds. A single church in Andhra called the Evangelical Lutheran church has mentioned on its website they have over 800000(3%) baptized members in AP. Whereas, according to the census 2021 the current population of Christian in AP is 363,754 lakhs, which is less than 50% of what is shown by one single church on its website. This is the same church the Jagan and his family follow.
We know that the Christian missionaries have been targeting the SC/ST section of the society for more than 20 years now. On the Church website, it is stated that most of its members are from rural backgrounds ie. SC/ST. The same support is being given by current CM Jagan mohan reddy and under his governance, the converted SC/ST are allowed to retain their reservation status in public employment and education records. He has also been accused by his party member MP Krishnam Raju that, as much as 70% of pastors in Andhra Pradesh allegedly hold caste certificates which are completely unconstitutional. The TDP chief said Rs 5,000 honorarium is being paid to the pastors, who are promoting conversions. Under this government’s rule, free rein is given to the missionaries to operate across the state.
In September 2020, YS Jagan’s government also unethically dissolved 2500 temple trusts across the state, citing a need for greater representation of the SC community in temple management. And we know the majority of the SC population is converted Christians. A renowned academician Dr. Gautam Sen from London School of economics has described it as Conversion through Stealth”. In light of the temple attack in 2013, Jagan and his friend Janardhan Reddy blew up the Sunkulamma temple in obullapuram village in Anantapur district. It is also alleged that YSR had demolished the 1000 pillar temple located in Warangal. According to Sources , there have been around 400 cases of Hundi thefts in AP. In September 2020, hatred towards Hindus in Andhra Pradesh reached new heights as a 62-year-old chariot of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple was gutted in fire and there was no action taken.
The YSRCP is spending approx. 50% (76,303lkhs) of the minority funds for the Christian community when the total Christian population is 6.83 lakhs which is 1.38% of the total population. APSCMFC has various schemes that target people. Like cab/taxi drivers, washermen, weavers, and issuing mobile dispensing units. It also grants aid to churches and burial grounds, and church-run institutions. The government Spends Rs500000 in each district for Christmas celebrations, monthly honorariums to pastors. A subsidy of Rs30000-Rs60000 to visit Jerusalem and other biblical places.
In January 2020, the Hindu legal-activist group – Legal Rights Protection Forum and SC-ST Rights Forum, a non-profit legal activism organization that works for Dalit rights, had written a letter to National Commission for Scheduled Castes (NCSC) over rampant forced conversions activities by the Christian missionaries and Church. These Christian missionaries are on a mission to convert the population, village by village, and by converting the temples into churches by placing a Cross symbol on top of the Temple. These missionaries get funds from the state government along with funds from foreign Christian institutions.
One of the most auspicious religious places for the Hindu religion is Tirupati, where the state government has elected 40% of the board members to be non-Hindus, and the revenue from the temple is to be paid to the state government. It is a known fact that the Christian board members carry their Bible in a holy place for Hindus and this kind of behavior would not be accepted by any other religion. They have also tried to publicize their religion on the TTD website by allowing Jesus’s name to pop up and free trips to Jerusalem, their holy place.
It is no secret that Christian missionaries are on a mission to spread Christianity and dominate the world. They have targeted Andhra Pradesh as they receive sufficient support from the state government as the CM himself is a staunch follower of Christianity. Andhra Pradesh was once known for its Hindu culture and the temples there has a lot of historical significance as it has been mentioned in all our Hindu Scriptures. If we look at the current scenario now, there has been a steady rise in the Christian population and we fear that soon Hindus might become a minority there if no serious steps are taken by the government to control the conversion that is going on.
