In its second complete week, from September 27th to October 3rd, Nielsen TV Ratings reported that Squid Game was streamed for 3.260 billion minutes. Those 3 billion streams make it the first and only program this year to surpass the previous record of 1.9 billion minutes in a single week set when the show is debut.
The Crown, Ozark, You, Tiger King, and The Umbrella Academy are among the prominent Netflix titles that have reached the “3 Billion Club” because to the success of Squid Game.
As a consequence, Netflix execs were taken aback by the popularity of Squid Game, calling the program is 142 million total viewers “mind-boggling” in their quarterly statistics report. Aside from complaints of the series’ English language dub, Squid Game has also stirred questions over whether or not youngsters in schools in Belgium and the United Kingdom are causing fights and reproducing the program is sinister versions of kids’ games. The popularity of Squid Game is set to soar throughout the Halloween season as characters from the program take center stage in Halloween costumes.
