Emodi Casmir, admired by the stage name Uptown Bwoy, belongs to Aba, Abia state and is a Mechanical engineer by profession, but has spent all his life as a high-spirited musician. Uptown Bwoy aims to be one of the best in his field, be a source of joy to his fans, and inspire a generation through his music. He loves watching and playing football in his spare time.
Every individual has to go through some challenges, but who keep grinding are the ones who accomplish what they were made for, and Uptown Bwoy is one of them. Uptown Bwoy is a motivated guy who gets up and going even when the chips are down. He doesn’t really have a weakness except for things like love and loosing someone close to him.
When asked about his relation with his music, Uptown Bwoy told, “Music has been an important part of my growth since I was a kid. Back then I bought my first ever CD and it was Wizkid’s Superstar album. I can vividly remember when I used to play it in my dad’s car while I wash it every morning. I learnt all the songs word for word! This made me begin singing it in class and getting all the girls lol. This eventually led me to making my own music. My dad has always been a symbol of strength to me, regardless of how hard things were he always kept smiling, working hard and was there whenever I needed him.”
